Baby Quilt with Triangles

What you will need:

· 2 or more coordinating fabrics.

· Border material: 4 1/2” wide                        (2) 34.5” length, (2) 43” length.

· Batting: 37” x 46”

· Backing:  1 3/8 yards, or 38” x 47”

· Binding:  (optional) 161”

Directions:

· To create half square triangle block-

           Cut (12) 9 3/8” squares from 2 or more fabrics.            

           Cut diagonally.  Choose coordinating triangle

           fabrcis that will create a block.  Put right sides

           together and sew 1/4” seam.  Iron seams to one side.

 

· After seams are pressed and threads clipped, open and sew block to       block creating rows.  Then sew rows together to create 3 blocks per       row, and 4 rows.

 

· Add your vertical borders first, then your horizontal borders.

 

· Place batting and backing with top of quilt.  Quilt as desired, and bind.

 

 

Finished Size: 33.5” x 42”
